do not lose heart.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary trouble are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger
stand a little taller

what doesn’t kill you makes a fighter
footsteps even lighter.

this world will never be enough.

not to live a life after riches, fame, praises, power, popularity, success
…but to live a life that is pleasing to You.

even though people and circumstances change…

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
-Hebrews 13:8

we want more than this world’s got to offer.

maybe we’ve been livin with our eyes half open.

we were meant to live for so much more
have we lost ourselves?

Colossians 3:23

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”

blessings in disguise.

“…when friends betray us, when darkness seems to win
we know that pain reminds this heart
that this is not, this is not our home
it’s not our home

’cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
what if Your healing comes through tears?
and what if a thousand sleepless nights
are what it takes to know You’re near?

what if my greatest disappointments
or the aching of this life
is the revealing of a greater thirst
this world can’t satisfy?

and what if trials of this life
the rain, the storms, the hardest nights
are Your mercies in disguise?”

let the new month begin with new songs.

“Let us thank him for liberty, for friends, for family associations and comforts; let us praise him, in fact, for everything which we receive from his bounteous hand, for we deserve little, and yet are most plenteously endowed. But, beloved, the sweetest and the loudest note in our songs of praise should be of redeeming love. God’s redeeming acts towards his chosen are forever the favourite themes of their praise.

We have been redeemed from the power of our corruptions, uplifted from the depth of sin in which we were naturally plunged. We have been led to the cross of Christ–our shackles of guilt have been broken off; we are no longer slaves, but children of the living God, and can antedate the period when we shall be presented before the throne without spot or wrinkle or any such thing.

…shall we not unceasingly give thanks to the Lord our Redeemer?”

we live and we learn.

learning to let go
learning to not be so bothered by the friendships that have been lost but to appreciate the new ones that have been gained
learning that i can’t live a life that’s always trying to please everyone i meet
learning to balance
learning to be real again
learning to live
learning to love.
